DC-sketchbook
Because I deal in a strictly black and white medium day in and day out, I like to manipulate the image to add different qualities .
I have a brief background in producing 'zines and I still just love getting in there and creating something new out of something old.
Basically its just fun.   Enjoy.

Below are some character sketches for various DC comic books.

This was for POWERGIRLs
super-stalker in JSA #39:
ultimately called <D'BOMB>
his name changed from
"Ground Zero" because
terrorists attacked
America shortly after on
9/11.
  AQUAGIRL
aka LORENA>
Apparently after swimming thru an oil spil.

MALREI (sp)?
From Aquaman. He went thru quite a
few changes.  He was a genetically
engineered underwater cop...and...
is..is.. I'm sorry... is he wearing
sunglasses in the cover sketch?
<<< ugh
...glad that didn't make it.

AQUAMAN #32 cover
sketches featuring the
'reunion' of he and his
wife, MERA.

...And the finished product ...

I always love it when another artist lets me flip through their sketchbook.  It is so different than the highly
polished printed art  we see on the shelves.  It's real.   It's Raw.  You may  notice I don't scan all of my images.
I prefer to use photos to try and capture the rugged, ugly naked truth.   (Complete with coffee stains. )
sketches, cover sketches, character sheets and interior art of DC characters.
